I joined Rotary International to contribute more significantly to my community and make a global impact. Shortly after becoming a member, I was honored to be promoted to Sergeant at Arms. After a few years of dedicated service, I was elected President of the Eau Claire Rotary. My involvement with Rotary has been instrumental in building meaningful connections with political leaders, law enforcement agencies, and businesses, both locally and nationwide.
I have proudly served as a Notary Public for the State of South Carolina since 2008. In this role, I have assisted numerous community members with their legal documentation needs (at no charge), providing reliable and professional service. Through this work, I have established and maintained meaningful relationships with many influential individuals across the state, contributing to a strong network of trust and collaboration.
In 2023, I had the honor of organizing and leading the largest Corvette cruise to the South Carolina State House in history. This powerful rally against gun violence brought together an incredible 750 Corvettes, standing united in support of our cause. It was a privilege to stand alongside the Mayor of Columbia, the Sheriff of Richland County, the Chief of Police, one Congressman, three State Senators, and two inspiring youth from our community as we delivered a strong message against gun violence. This event was a testament to the power of community, collaboration, and a shared commitment to creating safer neighborhoods.

In proud collaboration with the Columbia City Council, the City Administrator, and the Mayor, I successfully spearheaded the effort to rename a street in honor of my father, Ezekial H. Trezevant, Jr. It was a deeply meaningful achievement to see his legacy recognized and celebrated in such a lasting way.
In collaboration with multiple state, city, and county agencies, I successfully designed and implemented a comprehensive statewide IP camera system for correctional facilities. This project stands as one of my proudest professional achievements, reflecting my commitment to enhancing security and operational efficiency.
I recently collaborated with the City Council and the Mayor of Columbia to advocate for changes in community policing practices. Additionally, I worked on a meaningful initiative to honor my father's legacy by having a street topper bearing his name placed on the street where I grew up. This endeavor required coordination with city officials and stakeholders, highlighting the importance of community engagement and perseverance in achieving impactful outcomes.
Below, I have shared links to news media reports highlighting some of my work within the community. Each of these initiatives required extensive collaboration with various organizations, community members, and city, county, and state agencies. These examples demonstrate my ability to achieve impactful results by fostering cooperation among stakeholders, addressing resistance when it arises, and advocating for those who may not have a voice.
Learn MoreThis photo represents a pivotal moment in South Carolina's history—a time when tensions ran high as the Senate and Governor debated the removal of the Confederate flag from the State House grounds. The situation became especially volatile as the KKK marched in opposition to the flag's removal, while the Black Panther Party marched in support of its removal and to uplift the Black community. Amid this highly charged atmosphere, the potential for violence and destruction was immense. Communities faced the risk of irreparable damage, lives could have been lost, and chaos could have engulfed our city and state. Recognizing the stakes, I chose to stand for peace, unity, and reason during this critical moment. I am deeply proud to have been entrusted to address the people of Columbia and the state of South Carolina, calling for calm and understanding when it was needed most. It was an honor to help steer our community toward a path of nonviolence and solidarity during such a defining moment in our history. https://www.abccolumbia.com/2015/07/01/national-action-network-calls-for-peaceful-flag-protests/ https://www.wdtn.com/news/kkk-black-panthers-asked-to-leave-south-carolina/
Learn MoreIn 2008, a dear friend came to me, burdened by the weight of kidney failure, and shared that he was in desperate need of a transplant. As he spoke, I turned inward for just a brief moment—a five-second conversation with God—and felt the answer in my soul. Without hesitation, I offered to donate one of my kidneys to him. We faced a significant challenge: raising $10,000 to cover our part of the medical expenses. But I knew faith would guide the way. Immediately, I began organizing a gospel concert, pouring my heart into every detail. I approached the administration at St. John and, through prayer and determination, was blessed to secure the participation of eight incredible gospel groups and performers who agreed to share their talents without charge. The result? A powerful night of music, community, and love that raised $11,625—more than we had hoped for. The donation was a complete success, and my friend received the gift of life. This journey reaffirmed my belief in the power of faith, action, and the unshakable strength of community.
I contributed to the South Carolina Gang Prevention Study, drawing upon my extensive experience from working with the gang detail in Los Angeles during the height of the gang era. This role provided me with an in-depth understanding of the inner workings of gangs and their members. Additionally, I had the honor of addressing the South Carolina Senate, presenting a detailed analysis of gang operations and proposing strategies to curtail their influence and prevent the spread of violence within communities. My contributions involved collaboration with the Senate, various law enforcement agencies, and City and County Councils, fostering a comprehensive approach to gang prevention efforts. https://scattorneygeneral.org/fraud/gang/pdf/ganginterventiondirectory.pdf
I am proud to be a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
